FC Barcelona Cifec have won beaten Torrevella 24-28. The Barça team coached by Xesco Espar led the way throughout the game and achieved a maximum lead of eight goals. Nagy was top scorer with six.

The away victory against Torrevella is the ninth in a row, counting the three wins in the Spanish Cup. The 24-28 final score line could have been even more convincing given that FC Barcelona Cifec were always in the lead and opened up an eight-goal gap in the second half. The win puts Barça back in third place after being temporarily overtaken by Ademar León last Wednesday.

A perfect start

FC Barcelona Cifec took the lead right from the start and held on for a comfortable final victory. The shooting of Nagy and Jerome Fernández from the nine metre line gave the visitors the lead in the first half with goalkeeper Barrufet also in excellent form. The scoreboard at half time showed a six-point lead for Barça, 11-17.

Barça ease off

The second half continued with the same dynamic as the first. The home side did their best to slow the game down but Barça continued to score with relative ease and opened up an eight-goal gap (17-25). The Barça players eased off towards the end to finish with a final score of 24-28.
