Saric, goalkeeping reinforcement

Goalkeeper Daniel Saric has come to an agreement to add to Barça Borges’ goalkeeping options. The Serb has come from Portland San Antonio, and will represent Barça for three seasons.
Barça Borges will have an additional keeper in the 2009/2010 season. Serbian Daniel Saric has
signed contract with FC Barcelona until 2012. The ex Portland man passed his medical on Thursday.
Aged 32 he has ample experience of the Liga Asobal, having played for Teka, Alcobendas and Ademar.
“I feel like a great player”
Daniel Saric had no doubts about accepting the Barça offer after one
season at Portland. “It is a big step forward in my sorting career. I’m joining a club
with lots of history and I will give it all I have in the next few years”, he said. Saric
says he puts every into not only games but training too. “I feel like a great player inside,
but I want to do all I can to win with Barça”, he added.
Regular stopper
The director of handball was impressed by the enthusiasm the player showed for the chance to
join Barça. “He seemed delighted from the first moment to be able to come here. He told
Portland about his interest in coming to Barça”, said Enric Masip. “We hope than this
year, we can get some regularity with our shot stopping, because that’s how you win title
like the League and Champions League, and Saric can do that”, added the Barça Borges
director.
