Barça Intersport were back in training on Monday morning, with medical and fitness tests taking up the first few hours as the players and coaches met up at the Palau Blaugrana.
The session began at eight o’clock and after the first medical tests the players had chance
for breakfast before returning to work, when they were put through an aerobic resistance activity,
before team doctor, Dr. Gutiérrez took blood samples from each player.
Running at the Mini
The players then moved on to the Mini Estadi for some running , led by assistant
coach Toni Rubiella, where new signings Mikel Aguirrezabalaga and Viran Morros wore the Barça shirt
for the first time.
Visit from Eduard Coll
Once the individual and group photos for the 2011-12 season were taken,
the players were addressed by the Club Director directly responsible for the section, Eduard Coll,
and members of the Sporting Commission for Handball, who welcomed the new signings and gave a short
speech to the whole group.
The players and coaching staff left Barcelona at 11.15 for their summer camp in Encamp,
Andorra, where they will be training until Friday.
