www.fcbarcelona.cat
Barça Sorli Discau won the game and got their confidence back away at Sitges, the side propping up the OK League. After going in 0-3 down at half-time, the home side fought back to 2-3 before Borregán wrapped things up with two more goals.
The visit to Sitges was going to be tricky for Barça Sorli Discau with the team’s morale
pretty low. So having won and won well will be a real confidence boost for them.
Barça dominated the early exchanges and Sergi Panadero soon made it 0-1 for the visitors. It
wasn’t attractive hockey, but the plan was to make sure of winning.
Despite having had left wrist troubles, captain Alberto Borregán was able to play and was one
of the key figures in the game. He came on in the first changes and soon made it 0-2 in the 19th
minute.
When David Páez made it 0-3 before the break, it looked like it was all over.
Sitges fight back
But there is some good hockey being played in the OK League, and recently promoted
Sitges put Barça under pressure. Marçal Montserrat took advantage of lapses in concentration by the
visitors to pull two goals back in a minute to make it 2-3.
It was a critical time, but Paüls’s men soon sorted things out.
Borregán gets two
Borregán marshalled his forces and within sixty seconds had got Barça’s fourth to take
the pressure off his side.
Barça Sorli Discau were playing calmly, controlling the ball and breaking up Sitges’s
desperate attacks.
Borregán then made it 2-5 with 13 minutes still to go.
Special mention should be made of Octavi Tarrés who was standing in for the injured Aitor
Egurrola, who watched the game from the stands.
