Barça Sorli Discau beat basement team Macanet 7-2 thanks to goals from López (2), Reinaldo (2), Páez, Adroher and Borregán in a game they dominated from start to finish.

The win leaves Barca on 40 points in the top part of the league, whilst Macanet stay bottom with just 8 points. In truth, the visitors only had a couple of chances –their first goal coming from a long range effort that surprised Egurrola and their second arriving in the last minute.

Two quick goals

Barça Sorli Discau made their intentions clear from the start with two quick goals from Carlos Lopez, the second culminating a rapid counter involving
Ordeig, López and David Páez. After a time-out from the visitors they pulled back a goal when Oriol Vives fired home from distance and surprised the otherwise excellent Egurrola, but Barca were in complete control and Lopez made it three a minute later. Two quick goals from Jordi Adroher and Reinaldo sent the teams in at 5-1 at the break.

Great Hockey

The second half saw some great hockey from Barca, not all of it rewarded with goals, with Reinaldo, Carlos López and Jordi Adroher all putting on the style. Reinaldo was on the mark on the half hour and captain Borregon made it seven with 10 minutes still to play.

Although the visitors pulled one back at the death and Egurrola made a few good stops, Barca were never in trouble and the fans applauded some great moves from Ordeig and López before the final whistle.
