Barça Sorli Discau saw off potential title rivals Proinosa Igualada in their first big test of the season, coming away with a convincing 1-5 victory in a game marked by fair play on both sides.

Good start

Sergi Panadero caught the Igualada keeper out of position to fire home from midfield on 5 minutes and David Paez made it 0-2 on 20 minutes with a deflected long range effort. Igualada kept coming at Barca and Egurrola made a fine stop from Torner to keep them out before two minutes before the break, Jordi Adroher made it 0-3.

Under control

With the game more or less under control, Barca had more chances after the break, with Borregan hitting the post with a long range effort before Panadero made it 0-4 rounding off a text book counter attack with Borregán and Carlitos López. Keeping up the pace, Barca made it five when Reinaldo fired home on 45 minutes. Both teams committed their 10th foul in the last minute and Torner was able to save some honour for the locals with a penalty goal, though he also managed to miss another with just six seconds left on the clock after David Paez was shown a straight red.
