Barça Sorli Discau lost their 1st home game of the season to Liceo, who overtake them in the OK Liga. Although they came back after going behind early in the first half, Barca were unable to repeat that in the second after Liceo had again gone ahead.
Following Saturday’s defeat against Vic, Barca again went down,
this time losing their unbeaten home record to Liceo, who controlled the game for long periods,
particularly at the start. An early goal for the visitors left Barca chasing the game until
Borregan got the equalizer, but they were unable to respond to a late second half strike from
Alvarez for Liceo.
Liceo began the game strongly and were one up within five minutes after
a neat interchange between Marc Gual and Jordi Bargalló that the Galician’s captain put away.
Liceo had a number of other excellent chances to stretch their lead before Barca began to find
their feet and hit back, with Borregan drawing them level with a long range effort on 16 minutes.
There was still time before the break for the visitors to come close when a shot came back of the
post for Egurrola to gather in.
Barca made the better chances at the start of the second half, and only
a good stop from Llaverola kept out Mia Ordeig after Liceo had committed their 10th foul. Finally
though, it was Liceo who got the second, with Pablo Alvarez rounding off more good work from Marc
Gual with just 11 minutes left on the clock.
