Laporta visits Madrid Supporters' Clubs
FC Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, and other Barça directors were present at the IV SC Meeting in Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid.
Supporting Barça in Madrid is no easy task. That was one of the messages put forward by President
Laporta at the Madrid meeting organised by the Torrejón de Ardoz Supporters’ Club on 10th
November.
Also present in representation of the Club were vice-president, Alfons Godall, board member,
Jacint Borràs, Social Commission directors, Xavier Bagués and Martín Martínez and former players,
Julio Alberto Moreno and Marcos Alonso. The meeting coincided with Barça’s away match against
Madrid club Getafe.
Football first
The festival kicked off with a football match between members of the Torrejón de Ardoz SC,
reinforced by Laporta, ex players and other directors, against members Real Madrid, Atlètico Madrid
and Rayo Vallecano SCs. The final score was 3-2 to the members of the supporters’ clubs of
the three Madrid clubs.
Town Hall & debate
After the match, the Barça party visited the Torrejón de Ardoz Town Hall where they were
received by the deputy mayor and the councillor responsible for sport. After the formalities, a
debate was organised on the FC Barcelona football first team. In addition, President Laporta
explained the agreement with UNICEF, the jewel in the crown of the Social Area.
