Happy 25th anniversary Val d’Aran!

The Val d’Aran Supporters’ Club (in the heart of the Pyrenean Mountains) celebrated their 25th anniversary with a skiing competition. Over 100 skiers took part including the Infanta Elena de Borbón.
Thanks to huge effort on the part of the SC, the event was a great success.
The president of the SC, Josep Solà, together with the governing board, came up with the
original idea of a skiing competition on the Baqueira Beret slopes. The result was a brilliant
weekend of fun and sport for all Barça fans.
More than 100 skiers, divided into seven categories, took part. Among the participants
were the royal princess, Infanta Elena de Borbón, and her son Juan Felipe Marichalar.
Gala dinner
The final event of the celebration was a gala dinner. Among the guests were FC Barcelona
vice-president, Joan Boix and Club director general Joan Oliver.
Also present were the new delegate for the region, Pere Mentruit, and Joan Casals (the Barça
‘grandfather).
Representing local government were Francés Boya and Viella mayor Pau Perdices.
Some 175 SC members attended the dinner.
