On attending the 50th anniversary of the Calella supporters club Penya Solera and the 3rd Catalan Supporters’ Clubs Meeting, Joan Laporta said he was looking forward to the new project led by Pep Guardiola.
This weekend the 50th anniversary of the Calella supporters club Penya Solera and the 3rd Catalan
Supporters’ Clubs Meeting has been held. FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta, together with
vice-president Alfons Godall and former player Julio Alberto attended a dinner at the Llobet I Guri
Factory, Calella. Afterwards, the Barça president said he had faith in the new project.
“I’m looking forward to having a strong team”, he stated.

Laporta said: “We have to be strong to go forward. We have to open the club up, but some
bridges still need to be built”. He added: “I’m sure the new project will be a
success. Guardiola is a coach who transmits enthusiasm and conviction”.

Before Joan Laporta spoke, the president of Penya Solera Supporters Club Fernando Ballabriga
appealed to all Barça supporters: “We have to be united to get this off the ground and be
successful again”.
