The Costa Brava resort of Calella hosted a celebration of Barça fans from the south of Spain on Sunday.
The Club was represented by vice-president Alfons Godall and Board member Xavier Sala i Martín.
For the past 18 consecutive years, members of the Huelva Supporters’ Club in the south-west of Spain having been coming to Calella on the Costa Brava. This year two coaches packed with Barça fans from Andalusia turned up once again to celebrate an Andalusian festival. Club vice-president Alfons Godall and Board member Xavier Sala i Martín presided over the festival, the highlights of which were the excellent food and Barça’s win over Andalusian club Malaga.
Over a hundred fans made the trip for this Andalusian festival but for many there are divided loyalties. They are Barça fans through and through but they are also passionately Andalusian. They came to see Barça beat Malaga but more than one admitted to having a soft spot in their heart for Recreativo de Huelva.
