Andrés Iniesta’s book “One Year In Paradise” has crossed borders and has reached Poland, where the Fan Club Barça Polska has produced a translation in Polish. The book was the best-selling publication in Poland in December.
It was the Penya Polska who decided to translate Andrés Iniesta’s book ‘Un any al
paradís’, in which he describes the treble winning year, into Polish. The club dealt with all
publishing and copyright issues and when it came out at Christmas, it topped the Internet sales
list in the country.
Iniesta grateful
This week, Andrés Iniesta signed twenty copies of the Polish edition for different
members of the club. The Penya Polska state that they will now auction them for charity. “It
is something really nice for which I’d like to show my gratitude. They are foreigners, which
makes what they have done more difficult. But they are still Barça fans and live the club with
intensity and this translation will also be a very special souvenir of a very special year for the
club”, said Iniesta.
Iniesta claimed that the success of the book and the efforts the Polish supporters put into
it reveal just how much people are stimulated by Barça these days. “It shows the grandeur of
the club. It means so much to people! They don’t miss a game, and although it is hard for
them to get to Barcelona, their support is also very special to the players” he added.
The book has not only been published in Polish. Iniesta said that he has also seen it in
another language. “It also happened to me in Turkish” he told Barça TV and
www.fcbarcelona.cat.
