During the 50th anniversary of the PB de Vilafranca, Barça president Sandro Rosell, sent a unity message to the fans heading the Champions League final: “we all have to row on the same direction since our aim is Wembley”.

On such an important day for the PB de Vilafranca, such as its golden anniversary, president Sandro
Rosell make clear that “this is a sweet moment for Barcelona social mass”, recalling
the last titles won by the first football team, sport sections and youngster football teams. The
blaugrana president, accompanied at all times by vicepresident of the Social Area Jordi Cardoner i
Casaus, and chief director of the Social Comission Pau Vilanova, also sent a unity message to all
fans regarding the previous days to the final in London: “I want to ask something to all
members and fans: do not bite, do not let yourselves be influenced by the external messages. We
have to go our own way. Let’s get together, row in the same direction, we are a family, and
our aim is Wembley”. The highest representative of FC Barcelona encouraged all fans not to
take into account any information coming from outside.
Visit to Castellers de Vilafranca
Rosell, during his visit to Vilafranca del Penedès, went to the PB de Vilafranca
headquarters, which is the same as the Castellers’. The delegation witnessed a human tower
and also visited the headquarters of the Castellers, where
he signed the honour book. Sandro Rosell compared the
Castellers’ team work with that made by Barça teams.
Ramallets and Sadurní, two miths in Vilafranca
Several famous characters of FC Barcelona did not miss the occasion of the gold
anniversary of the PB de Vilafranca. This is the case of former goalkeepers Antoni Ramallets and
Salvador Sadurní, two miths under the posts. Ramon Alfonseda and Josep Moratalla also attended the
celebration as representatives of the Associació Barça Jugadors.
