Rosell also scores a goal against rare diseases

FC Barcelona president joined the charity dinner on benefit for research on rare diseases held in Totana (Murcia). With almost 500 attendants and 27 supporters’ clubs, Barça scored a goal for solidarity.
FC Barcelona and D’Genes association joined forces on the first edition of “Score a
goal against rare diseases”. A solidarity dinner that was a participation success gathered
supporters’ clubs from Murcia, Castilla y León and Castilla-La Mancha. Sandro Rosell tanked
all blaugranas’ support and expressed being “really satisfied to be surrounded by
people like you today and for such a cause”. Rosell was also glad because he was fulfilling
another electoral promise, that of visiting Murcia and its penyes as president.
Visit at Totana Town Hall
Before the charity dinner, president of FC Barcelona, along with Pau Vilanova, head
director of the Social Comission, visited the Totana Council. They were received by the town mayor
José Martínez and the delegate of the Supporters’ Clubs Advisory Council and president of the
PB Totana Juan Carrión. On this reception, the president took pictures with all the
supporters’ clubs that had travelled to Totana, with members of D’Genes and the board
of PB Totana.
Short visit to PB Totana headquarters
Rosell did not want to leave Murcia without paying a short visit to the home of PB Totana and
leave his signature on the book of honour. This supporters’ club is not only reputed to be
intensively culé, but also to help D’Genes and cooperate to fight against rare diseases.
