Moving tribute to Nicolau Casaus
The evening was also a posthumous tribute to former vice president of FC Barcelona
and a major promoter of the Social Area, Nicolau Casaus. Following this recognition, his grandson
and vice president of the FC Barcelona Social Area, Jordi Cardoner, made an emotional speech about
the affection the club feels for his grandfather and he explained how his love for the supporters
clubs has been passed down the family.
Finally, the Mayor of Martorell showed his delight at having collaborated with the club and
spoke about the good integration work it has done for the city.
A huge birthday cake was then cut and a draw tokk place with many prizes donated by
collaborating institutions were drawn. The festivities also had a musical touch thanks to
performances by dance group Spai Dance and the band Beverly.
