The plans for the renovation the Camp Nou by the British architect Norman Foster were unveiled
today together with an exhibition of the fifty years of the Camp Nou.
50 years of the Camp Nou
A new exhibition dedicated to the
50 year history of the Camp Nou was opened today by Joan Laporta, Norman Foster and the Board of Directors. Also present were
the director of the exhibit Carles Santacana and museum manager Carles Santacana.
The Paris Room
Joan Laporta and Norman Foster also visited the Pep Bonet exhibition in the Paris Room
dedicated to Swaziland orphans, where Norman Foster signed the distinguished visitors’ book.

An illustrious guest list
The event was witnessed by many illustrious guests including the president of the Catalan
Parliament, Ernest Benach, together with a number of Catalan political figures - Xavier Trias,
Alberto Fernández Díaz and Jordi Portabella. From the world of football, there was Jordi Roche,
president of the Catalan football Federation, José Luis Astiazarán from the Spanish FA and former
sports minister Josep Lluís Vilaseca.
A number of former Barça players were also present led by the president of the Veterans
Association Ramon Alfonseda.
